Wow!! I can’t believe Christmas is only 2 weeks away YIKES!! I feel like there’s still so much more to be done. I host Christmas Eve dinner every year and one of my favorite parts is putting together the tablescape. There’s something about seeing the table set that kind of just pulls all the decor together for me and almost transforms the house into this magical place… lol okay, maybe I’m a LITTLE dramatic (per usual) but YOU GUYS!!! It literally makes ALL the difference!! Since time seemed to be slipping away from me this year I tried to keep it pretty simple. I have to say for putting something together last minute (last minute for me at least) it’s giving me ALL the feels!!
So this year for Christmas I went with the colors white, silver, and gold with little pops of red for my holiday decor. When it comes to desgining my tablescape I always decide on my centerpiece(s) first and then build out from there. This year I went with three hurricane candle holders surrounded by some faux flocked garland. I added a white candle to each of the hurricane jars, then filled them with some small (not as small as I would have liked) white rocks and a few small pinecones. Lastly, I took a few holiday berry stems (six to be exact, two per hurricane) and placed them around the candle holders and my centerpiece was complete!!
Once I finished the centerpiece I realized right away that I would need a runner underneath it for two reasons… One, because the faux flocking kept falling all over my table (smh what a mess lol) and two, I needed something to make the centerpiece stand out because it kind of just blended in with my dark table and to be honest, looked pretty blah. To fix that I found the perfect white and gold runner which ended up being the piece to tie the whole design together! Yayy!!
I decided to use gold as my accent color for the tablescape since I was going with all white plates and napkins. I found cute woven placemats that I used in place of chargers! On top of the placemats I decided to use white dinner and salad plates topped with white napkins and the cutest little gold bell napkin rings. Originally I thought about putting the napkins between the dinner and salad plates but with how much white I was layering (plates and napkins) I decided to put the napkins on top of the salad plates with a gold napkin ring to break up all the white I had going on.
Okay guys I have to say I was pretty pleased with the final look of the tablescape once everything came together… Not to mention it’s simple yet still beautiful and took me only about 30-45 min to put together once I had gathered all the supplies. Hopefully this helps with some simple steps to putting together your own holiday tablescape!!
